Local Info

Scouts Forest is located just 7 miles west of beautiful downtown Whitefish, 8 miles from Tally and Whitefish Lakes, 15 miles from Whitefish Mountain Resort and approx. 30 easy miles to the West entrance of Glacier National Park, nature and the great outdoors await you.

Nestled in a wooded wonderland, Scouts Forest truly is a nature lover’s paradise.  White tail deer, elk, wild turkeys and even an occasional bear or moose visit from time to time.  Outside, relax with a glass of wine and enjoy star gazing from your own private, patio deck surrounded by giant rock cliffs and adjacent woods.

Our neighborhood is quiet and serene with horse ranches and organic farms next door.   If you’re looking for a true retreat-style experience with quiet solitude and a wonderful spot to read, write or just relax, this is the place for you. (If you want to host lot’s of loud parties, we’re sorry, but this is probably not the best choice.)

Outdoor adventure awaits with an abundance of local activities to enjoy. Start with hiking or mountain biking on the trails nearby, dust off those chaps and go horseback riding at an area dude ranch just 5 miles up the road, explore the wonder of nearby Glacier National Park, go whitewater rafting, or take an exhilarating dip in Whitefish or Tally Lake. For the more adventurous, ride a Zip Line through the trees, race on the Alpine Slide or navigate the Aerial Adventure Park on Whitefish Mountain.

If you enjoy shopping, trendy restaurants, spas and a vibrant nightlife, downtown Whitefish is only a short 7 mile jaunt. We’ll have a list of places for you to explore, as well as maps upon arrival.
